Questions & Answers
-
Our rings can be purchased directly from Courts & Hackett through the Shop page on this website.
-
Our rings are crafted in solid 925 sterling silver with a British hallmark. The dark finish is the result of oxidising — a traditional technique that enhances the sculptural detail and gives the ring its distinctive character.
-
Any unwanted tarnishing can be brightened with an ordinary silver polishing cloth. We do not offer a re-oxidising or re-finishing service.
-
The ring is not available in bright polished silver — the oxidised dark finish is integral to the design, enhancing depth and detail. It is also not available in gold or any other material. Sterling silver 925 is the only option.

We strongly recommend having your finger professionally measured by a jeweller, using the size references from our ring size chart. Fingers can swell or shrink with changes in temperature, so it is worth being measured more than once. Do not use printed sizing tools — ring sizing devices and charts vary significantly from country to country.
-
We work to the following sizes:
UK: K½ to Z+4 · Extra large sizes available up to Z+6
US: 5⅜ to 14½ · Extra large sizes available up to 15½
Please note: extra large sizes incur an additional charge. The Keith Richards Skull Ring is a large ring — sizing should allow for an extra-wide band. -
The average face size is 23mm wide × 27mm high, tapering at the back of the band to 8–9mm. It is a substantial ring and sizing should account for the extra-wide band.
-
Our workshop is not open to the public and we do not offer an in-person sizing service. We recommend visiting a professional jeweller for an accurate measurement.
-
We do not produce dedicated women's sizes, however the smaller sizes in our range are worn by women.
-
The markings are British Hallmarks — an internationally recognised standard confirming the origin, quality of material, and date of manufacture of the piece.
-
We do not customise our rings. A professional jeweller may be able to offer this service independently.
